There is something rather special about a piece of wood that doesn't need to be forced into a shape.
This large shallow olive wood bowl has been carefully shaped to preserve the beautiful natural form of the timber, creating an organic silhouette and wonderfully flowing edges. Measuring approximately 44cm x 34cm x 3cm, it is generous enough to use as a centrepiece or an impressive serving platter when entertaining.
The grain on this particular piece is exceptional. Warm honey and golden tones run through darker, beautifully intricate grain patterns, creating a surface that catches the light and changes as you look at it from different angles.
Use it for cheese and charcuterie, tapas, bread, fruit, appetisers or sharing dishes, or leave it empty and allow the natural beauty of the olive wood to take centre stage.
Made from retired Spanish olive trees
At Olive & Almond Woodcraft, we handcraft our pieces from retired olive trees sourced from the hills of Andalucía.
The trees have spent decades growing beneath the Spanish sun, and their character remains visible in every piece we make. We carefully select the timber and allow its natural grain, shape and imperfections to influence the finished design.
Every piece is completely individual — this is not mass-produced wooden tableware.

| Cuidados | Caring for Your Olive Wood Olive wood is naturally strong and durable, but like all beautiful natural wood, it benefits from a little care. Hand wash only with warm water and a mild soap. Never put your olive wood in the dishwasher, as the heat and prolonged exposure to water can cause the wood to dry, crack or warp. Avoid leaving it soaking in water or submerged for any length of time. After washing, dry thoroughly with a clean cloth and allow it to air dry completely. From time to time, apply a small amount of food-safe mineral oil with a soft cloth. Leave it to soak in and wipe away any excess. This will help nourish the wood and keep its beautiful natural colour and grain looking its best. Avoid using harsh cleaning products, bleach or abrasive scourers. |
